In 1982 former Indian world cup winning player Sandeep Patil made the fifth highest individual score in tests at No 7 position. India was playing against England in Manchester and Patil scored 129* in 196 balls while batting at No.7 in the first innings of India. Patil smashed 18 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.
#4 Polly Umrigar

In 1986 Sri Lanka came to India and it was Indian captain Kapil Dev who came to bat at the No 7 position in the Kanpur test match. Kapil Dev played a knock of 163 runs off 165 balls with 19 fours and 1 six. #1 Ravindra Jadeja
The rockstar of the Indian team Ravindra Jadeja broke all the records with his incredible performance at the Mohali test against Sri Lanka. Jadeja played a 175* runs knock in the first innings of India and he became the star of the match. Jadeja scored 175* in 228 balls with 17 fours and 3 sixes.
