IPL is like a festival for Indians and Indian cricket fans wait for a whole year for this festival. Indians are so connected with this league that we saw every emotion through them.
Cricket is always a special game for India and in IPL we saw those connections of teams and players with their fans but 2022 IPL will be a different one as this edition of IPL will be lacking a lot of things. So here are the things fans will miss in IPL 2022.
Virat Kohli as RCB captain
Royal challengers Bangalore will miss Kohli as a captain in IPL 2022 not only RCB fans but all IPL fans will miss that aggression that Virat Kohli as a captain maintained. Virat Kohli was surely one of the best captains in IPL.
If you will look at his numbers you will not find any achievements but the mindset and aggression, he has developed are truly important.
David Warner in Orange army
Mr consistent of IPL David Warner gained all his names and form from only one franchise and that is Sunrisers Hyderabad.
If we will be talking about Warner’s and Hyderabad’s bond back in 2018 Warner was their best player but things got completely changed after he was sacked from the captaincy of the team in the 2021 edition and not only from captaincy, he also lost his position in playing eleven which was, of course, a big shock for his fans. It will be hard for SRH fans who love David Warner.
Raina and Dhoni’s bond on the field
From the very first season, Suresh Raina and Dhoni played for the same franchise and that is Chennai super kings. It was only for that two years when they got separated but they again reunited in 2018.

Raina and Dhoni share a great bond of friendship and respect for each other. We have seen them playing together and Suresh Raina has also mentioned many times how much he admires and respects MS Dhoni. After the retentions were announced Raina was not on the list for CSK for 2022 which broke their field bond.
Pollard and Hardik finishing matches
It was Mumbai Indians who have the best finishing pair in IPL’s history and credit goes to only two explosive batsmen Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya. We have seen them finishing matches for Mumbai Indians.
Their connection and bond are what terrorized bowlers. Hardik and Pollard both are good at power-hitting and they can play those massive shorts anytime. But Hardik was released by Mumbai in retentions which separated this duo.
AB De Villiers and his bond with Virat
AB De Villiers has announced his retirement from all forms of the game in November 2021 after which he will no longer play the IPL and imagining RCB without AB will hurt cricket fans as he was a very important part of the team for a very long period. AB De finished matches single-handedly for RCB.
Not only RCB fans but every cricket fan who watches IPL will miss him in the red Jersey of Royal Challengers Bangalore. One man who will miss AB the most is none other than Virat Kohli who was like a best friend to him. They both compliments each other perfectly and we have seen them doing miracles for RCB.
Gayle storms
Chris Gayle is surely the most entertaining batter who has ever played the game. In IPL too he is very famous for his batting and also for his joyful nature. Gayle was part of IPL from the first season but he picked out his name from auction for the 2022 edition.

After which it will be really hard for true IPL fans to watch the matches without him as he was a perfect entertainer in the league. Gayle is now 40+ and who knows for how long he will play so it might be Gayle’s last season in IPL in 2021 but he will be missed surely.
