During Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals, Narine took 3/29 to equal Samit Patel’s world record of 208 wickets for a single T20 team (Patel for Nottinghamshire, Narine for KKR). Narine will hold the outright record with his next wicket for KKR. The claim of him being “2nd most” is inaccurate based on current records.
3. Chris Wood: Chris Wood holds the third-highest tally of wickets for a single team in T20 cricket, with 199 wickets for Hampshire in the format. He has taken 199 of his 214 total T20 wickets for Hampshire since his debut in 2010. Achieved Hampshire’s all-time T20 wicket-taker status during the 2019 Vitality Blast season. Known for his left-arm medium pace, Wood has represented Hampshire exclusively in T20s apart from brief stints in The Hundred. This places him behind only Narine and Patel in the all-time list for most wickets by a player for a single T20 team.
