Sports Desk – Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 starting on 19 September. First IPL was to be held in India, but due to coronavirus is taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). All teams have reached UAE and are practicing.
But some of the veteran players have withdrawn their names from IPL 2020 due to personal reasons and injuries. We are going to tell you the list of those players.
Suresh Raina
Suresh Raina Returns To India Due To Personal Reasons. He will not be able to play IPL this time.
Harbhajan Singh
In a statement on his Twitter, Harbhajan Singh specified “I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons.These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family. CSK management has been extremely supportive and I wish them a great IPL.
Jason Roy
Delhi Capitals Opener batsman Jason Roy has withdrawn his name from the IPL tournament. He took this decision due to a muscle strain. The opener suffered an injury during practice this week at Old Trafford.
Harry Gurney
Harry Gurney withdrew from the IPL due to a shoulder injury. Apart from the IPL, Gurney will no longer be able to play in the T20 Blast played in England.
lasith malinga
The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise team Mumbai Indians star fast bowler Lasith Malinga will not be able to play in the upcoming season. Malinga has opted out of the tournament due to personal reasons.
Kane Richardson
Australian pacer Kane Richardson said pulling out of the upcoming IPL was difficult but definitely a right decision as he didn’t want to miss the birth of his first child in the wake of travel restrictions due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
Chris Woakes
England all-rounder Chris Woakes has decided to pull himself out of the IPL. Capitals had secured Woakes’ services for his base price of Rs 1.5 crore in the auction which took place in December last year.
