IPL 2025 auction will be a mega auction where teams will develop a whole new squad. According to the rules described by BCCI teams can retain maximum 6 players. Gujarat Titans suffered heavily in IPL 2024. There new captain, Shubman Gill was not able to get a dream start of his captaincy era. There are reports of head coach Ashish Nehra leaving the team before IPL 2025. Gujarat Titans was winner in 2022 season, they played finals of the 2023 season under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya but as soon as their captaincy changed and many injury scares occurred in the team. They could not revive from that thing.
Now what they want is to build a whole new squad with a proper match winner. Although there are very strong chances of GT not retaining all the players for all the slots as they will look to get new players in the auction. Players like David Miller and Rashid Khan are some of the biggest names in their squad. There are also reports of changing the captaincy of the team.
