Lucknow Super Giants is one of those teams that finds themselves in trouble when it comes to captaincy and coaching roles. KL Rahul has successfully captained this team for three years and he took LSG to playoffs but it is looking like management does not want him anymore. In this article, we will tell you possible options for the captain of LSG in IPL 2025.

Lucknow Supergiants finished 7th in IPL 204, they were in the race of playoffs to their last match. KL Rahul has done a good job with this team in the past three years. LSG is always one of the hardest teams to play against. But after IPL 2024 and before the mega auction, team owners are exploring new options for the captaincy. In the 2024 season, Sanjeev Goenka who is the owner of the LSG team scolded KL Rahul after the match against SRH and there are also rumours that they can change their captain.

LSG can think of Nicholas Pooran as their new captain because he is the second most senior player in the team. Pooran has experience of captaincy as he was captain of the West Indies team for a few years and also captained LSG in the absence of Kl Rahul.
