Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer. His full name is Rohit Gurunath Sharma.He was born on 30th April in 1987 at nagpur in India. His mother name is purnima Sharma and father name is Gurunath Sharma , earlier he worked as caretaker of transport firm storehouse. His was born a middle class family. He has younger brother.
Early Cricket Career
Rohit joined cricket camp in 1999. Everyone called him “Hitman” by his excellence performance for nation. He played number 7 and number 6 position when he used to play school cricket after that he promoted his batting order from lower order to opening batsman. He is part time off – spinner can do Bowl while team needed. He made his first class debut for west zone against central zone in deodhar trophy in March 2005 and he played crucial knock for his team, As he score unbeaten 142 runs in 123 balls against North zone in udaipur. He made his first class debut for India A against New Zealand A in July 2006 and he scored 57 runs off 22 balls as India won by 3 wicket. He made his ranji debut for Mumbai in 2006-07 season as he scored 205 runs against Gujarat. He was appointed as a captain for Mumbai team in 2013-14 after Ajit agarkar retirement.
International Cricket Career
In 2013, he made his test debut for India team in kolkata against West Indies and he scored 177 runs. In the next match he scored unbeaten 111 runs at his home ground, Mumbai. In March 2015, he made his world
cup debut for India in Australia as he scored 330 runs throughout the tournament with one
century in quarter final against Bangladesh.
On April 2019 He was appointed as vice captain for team India in 2019 world cup in England. In the opening match of this world cup he has scroed 122 runs against mighty South Africa team and he touched 12000th runs milestone in this world cup. He has scored five centuries against Pakistan, Sri lanka, Bangladesh, England and South Africa.
