Sports Desk – The timing of the second match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh has been announced. The second Test match of the series is to be played from November 22 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which will be a day-night Test. The day-night Test is being played for the first time in India. Keeping in mind the cold weather and dew, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) together have decided that the match will start at 1 in the afternoon and will be played till 8 in the night.
The Test match will be played from 22 to 26 November. This will be the first day-night Test match for both teams. A BCCI official confirmed this and said that the day’s play would end at 8 pm as there would be dew problem in Kolkata if the game continues after that. The day’s play will now start at 1 pm and the first session will end at 3 pm. The second session starts at 3:40 pm and ends at 5:40 pm. The last session will run from 6 to 8 pm.

The CAB tweeted, “Nearly 50,000 spectators will see it every day for the first three days of India’s first day-night Test match as the demand for tickets is touching.” The first match of the series is to be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore from 14 November.
