The third day’s play of the India-Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) second test match has also been cancelled. It rained in Kanpur on Sunday morning, due to which the outfield became wet. BCCI deployed 3 super soppers and about 100 employees to dry it, but did not succeed. In such a situation, the match officials decided to cancel the day’s play after the third inspection after discussing with the ground staff.

The first two days of the match were also affected by rain. On Saturday, September 28, not a single ball could be bowled on the second day of the match. While on September 27, stumps were called early on the first day of the match. So far only 35 overs could be played. In these, Bangladesh has scored 107 runs after losing 3 wickets. Mominul Haque returned not out after scoring 40 and Mushfiqur Rahim returned not out after scoring 6 runs.

Team India won the toss at Green Park Stadium and chose to bowl. Bangladeshi captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto was out after scoring 31 runs. He was LBW by Ravichandran Ashwin. He broke the fifty partnership of Shanto and Mominul. Earlier, Akash Deep dismissed Shadman Islam (24 runs) and Zakir Hasan (zero). India is leading 1-0 in the 2-match series.
