All-time highest partnerships in test
It was looking like the match between England and Pakistan would result in a draw after Pakistan batted for 149 overs and made 556. England also started slow and in the first three days it was looking like England had also accepted a draw from this test but a historic partnership between the former test captain Joe Root and talented young batter, Harry Brook turned the whole game in England’s favour.
A partnership of 454 runs occurred between Root and Brook for the 4th wicket where Joe Root made 262 off 375 balls and Brook made 317 off 322 balls.
