The 13th season of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be played in India from October 5 to November 19. All preparations for the World Cup are almost complete. All the teams will present their respective claims for the World Cup trophy.
Before this, we are going to tell you about the ODI World Cup 2023 prize money given this year. The ICC has already informed all teams about this. The prize money of Cricket World Cup 2023 winners and runner-up teams has been halved.
ODI World Cup 2023 Winner Prize Money
The winner of this year’s ODI World Cup will be awarded prize money of USD 4 million (INR 33 crores) while the runners-up of the final will get USD 2 million (INR 16.5 crores). The ICC has allocated a total of $10 million for the tournament.
The ICC announced the prize money and incentives for all 48 matches to be played in this competition starting next month. Both the teams losing in the semi-finals will get equal amount of 8 lakh dollars (approx Rs 6.63 crore). Teams that fail to reach the knockout stage will receive one lakh dollars (approximately Rs 82 lakh).
The winners of the group stage matches will get a prize of $40,000 (approximately Rs 33.17 lakh). ICC will spend one crore dollars (INR 82.93 crore) on prizes for the winning teams during this tournament.
