. IPL Contribution – The IPL alone contributed significantly, with total income from IPL 2023 reported at ₹11,769 crore, marking a 78% increase year-on-year. The surplus from IPL 2023 was ₹5,120 crore, a 116% jump from the previous year.
. Media Rights – A new media rights deal valued at ₹48,390 crore for the 2023-2027 cycle commenced with IPL 2023. This deal included significant contracts with Disney Star and Jio Cinema.
. Sponsorship Revenue – The BCCI also secured new sponsorship agreements worth approximately ₹4,000 crore with companies like Tata Sons and MyCircle11.
. Surplus Growth – The overall surplus for FY23 increased by 38%, reaching ₹3,727 crore as the board managed its finances effectively amidst rising revenues.

In addition to its impressive revenue figures, the BCCI paid ₹4,298 crore in taxes for the financial year 2022-2023, showcasing its significant contribution to the economy.
