The Board of Cricket for Cricket in India (BCCI) has scheduled a Special General Meeting (SGM) in Ahmedabad on May 27. The BCCI is expected to make a major announcement regarding the venues and probably schedule for them ICC World Cup 2023.
Additionally, the BCCI is setting in motion its plans for World Cup 2023 by forming a working group for the event. The working group will comprise BCCI officials and former cricketers.
WTC squad to leave in 3 batches
Meanwhile, it has come to light that the squad members for the World Test Championship (WTC) final will leave for England in three batches.

The first batch will fly out on May 23, following the finish of the association phase of the IPL. The subsequent batch will happen after the initial two end of season games on May 23 and 24 lastly the keep going clump will leave on May 30, after the last on May 28. The BCCI is planning to organise a practice match for the team in the UK. The WTC final, against Australia, is from June 7 to 12 at the Oval.
