One of the most successful Indian T20 coaches, Ashish Nehra is set to leave IPL franchise Gujarat Titans. There are rumours that GT is planning to replace its whole coaching staff. In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know.

Two new IPL franchises became part of the Indian Premier League in 2022. Lucknow Super giants and Gujarat Titans were two new franchises. Gujarat Titans impressed everyone when they won the 2022 IPL title in their first season. It was captain Hardik Pandya and coaches Ashish Nehra and Garry Kristen who made it possible for the Gujarat-based franchise. They again did a fabulous job in the 2023 season where they reached the finals but lost against CSK.

Both leadership and coaching staff were doing good for GT, but things took a drastic turn in 2024 when Hardik Pandya left GT and joined Mumbai Indians. GT appointed young Shubman Gill as their new captain. With an inexperienced captain and injury prone GT did not qualify for the playoffs. Things changed after the 2024 season as there were rumours of Nehra leaving the franchise.

According to some reports and inside news, Gujarat owners are not happy with Ashish Nehra and can ask him to leave. They will search for new faces despite what Nehra has done for the team. Ashish Nehra is a talented coach. Teams will look forward to getting him in their teams. Nehra and his members have done a brilliant job for GT. They were winners in 2022 and runner-ups in the 2023 season.
