Veteran Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary has officially announced his retirement from all international and IPL umpiring duties, marking the end of a distinguished career that spanned 17 seasons in the IPL and over 480 matches across various formats. At 60 years old, he will transition into a commentary role, contributing to the Haryanvi and Hindi feeds during IPL 2025, which kicks off on March 22.
Chaudhary’s farewell match as an umpire was the Ranji Trophy final between Kerala and Vidarbha in Nagpur, and his last international appearance occurred in September 2023 during an ODI between India and Australia. Over his career, he officiated in:

This dual role allows him to share his extensive knowledge of the game while staying actively involved in cricket.
