Sports Desk – Delhi Capitals leg-spinner Amit Mishra’s IPL stint this season has come to an abrupt end after he fractured his ring finger during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah.
Amit Mishra suffered the injury when he attempted to take a diving catch off his own bowling against KKR. He missed Nitish Rana’s catch and in the process hurt his fingers. The scan results have not come in favour of the spinner whose IPL 2020 campaign ends with just 3 appearances.
Amit Mishra did not start the campaign for Delhi Capitals but a shoulder injury to Ravichandran Ashwin during their season opener gave the veteran spinner an opportunity to be in the playing XI. Mishra made best use of the chance that came his way as he troubled opposition batsmen straightaway. Against Sunrisers, Mishra picked up 2 wickets for just 35 runs.
When, where, at what time and on which channel the IPL 2020 will be live streaming
In Sharjah, which has become a nightmare for bowlers, Mishra brought in all his experience and gave away only 14 runs in 2 overs and picked up the big wicket of KKR opener Shubman Gill. However, he was not able to continue bowling.
