#5 Cheteshwar Pujara
India was playing against Bangladesh in Kolkata in 2019. The match was a day and night test match with the pink ball. Pujara scored 55 runs in the first innings of India in 105 balls with 8 fours in it. Pujara’s innings of 55 runs became the fifth highest individual score in a pink ball test match by an Indian player.
#4 Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma in the 3rd test of India Vs England series of 2021 at Ahmedabad played a 66 runs innings in the first innings of India. He made 66 runs in 96 balls with 11 fours. Rohit’s 66 runs knock is the fourth-highest individual score in a pink ball test match by an Indian player. India won that match and the man of the match was Axar Patel.
#3 Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli enjoys batting against Australians and in the 2020/21 tour of India to Australia. The first test match was the pink ball test match at Adelaide. India batted first and it was Virat Kohli who played a 74 runs knock against Australians in 180 balls with 8 fours. Virat’s 74 runs innings are the only half-century by an Indian player in a pink ball test match on overseas soil.
#2 Shreyas Iyer
India was playing against Sri Lanka and it was the second test match of the two-match series in Bangalore. Both the teams were playing their fourth pink ball test. Shreyas Iyer who is in his career-best form smashed a half-century in both the innings of India on that pitch which was favourable to bowlers. In his first innings, he scored 92 runs in 98 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. Iyer’s knock was appreciated by many cricket history experts.
#1 Virat Kohli
The only Indian player to score a hundred in a pink ball test match is none other than former Indian skipper Virat Kohli. In the 2019 pink ball test against Bangladesh, Kohli made 136 runs in 194 balls with 18 fours in it. Kohli played this knock in the beautiful Eden gardens stadium of Kolkata. It was India’s first pink ball test and Kohli made it memorable with his amazing century.
