The outcome of the match between Lakshya Sen and Kevin Cordon was deleted from the records in compliance with the BWF General Competition Regulations for group stage play. Lakshya’s rating will now be decided by how he does in the two games that are left in Group L.

Lakshya had beaten Cordon 21-8, 22-20 on Saturday in a 42-minute match when Cordon withdrew. In barely 14 minutes, the Indian shuttler won the first game with a dominant performance.

In the second game, Cordon rallied and had four game points, but the 22-year-old Indian showed incredible fortitude by winning six straight points to win the match.
