Rai Benjamin is a 27-year-old USA athlete who won two gold medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He won gold in the 400-meter hurdles where he defeated former world champion and world record holder Karsten Warholm. Rai was a silver medalist in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Rai Benjamin’s second gold came in a 4*400-meter relay. America equalled China’s gold medal tally after this win in the 4*400-meter relay and because America had more silver medals than China, they became No.1 in the medal tally.

Rai Benjamin was born in New York but his family is from Antigua and Barbuda of Caribbean islands. He always wanted to represent America and his dream came true in 2018 when he got a chance to play for the USA. Talking about his roots in cricket he is the son of one of the most famous fast bowlers of West Indies Winston Benjamin who has played many matches for the West Indies national team.
