Afghanistan is one of the best-rising talents in World cricket. They are now scripting history with every win they are achieving. In this article, we will tell you how Afghanistan is achieving new heights in international cricket.

In the past one year, Afghanistan has defeated every big test-playing nation other than India in international cricket. In the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, they were in their best form. As a team, they are now capable of defeating any team in the World. In a country where political unrest always covered people’s happiness, cricket has emerged as a saviour for them.

They are the most improved new team in the world. Teams like Bangladesh and Ireland have been playing cricket for a very long time but the way Afghanistan has improved is simply remarkable. The rise of Afghanistan cricket started when they started performing big in tournaments like Asia Cups. Their first breakthrough came in 2023 when they defeated England in the 2023 World Cup.

In that same World Cup, they defeated Pakistan in Chennai. They were very close to making their first semi-final spot but Australia came in between and because of some fielding errors they lost their chance. In the 2024 T20 World Cup, they defeated New Zealand for the first time and their biggest win came against Australia when they threw Australia out of the World Cup. Recently they won their first international match against South Africa in Sharjah which completes their revenge of the 2024 T20 World Cup semi-final.
