Players in India’s T20 WC 2024 squad from each IPL team

The BCCI has announced the squad for the much-awaited 2024 T20 World Cup. They announced a squad of 15 members with 4 traveling reserves where performances of players in T20Is and the ongoing IPL season are kept on priority. In this article, we will tell you the IPL teams-wise distribution of the Indian squad.

  1. Mumbai Indians – there are 4 confirmed players from the Mumbai Indians squad which is highest by any other franchise. Captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Surya Kumar Yadav.
  2. Rajasthan Royals – after MI it is table toppers in IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals at second position. Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Yashasvi Jaiswal made it into the Indian squad. Avesh Khan will travel as a reserve player.
  3. Delhi Capitals – Delhi Capitals is another franchise from which three players are selected in the main squad. Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel are selected in the squad. Khaleel Ahmed will travel as a reserve player.
  4. Chennai Super Kings – there are only two players from Chennai Super Kings in the 2024 T20 World Cup squad. Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube are those two players.
  5. Royal Challengers Bengaluru – former captain Virat Kohli and right-arm fast bowler Mohammad Siraj are two players from Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
  6. Punjab Kings – only one player from Punjab Kings is selected for the T20 World Cup. Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is the only player from Punjab Kings.

No players are selected from franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Supergiants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rinku Singh of KKR and Shubman Gill of GT are traveling as reserve players.
