Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp got involved in a violent dispute on the touchline in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Ham.
Mo Salah has spoken out in relation to the altercation with Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Ham.
Salah was benched for the game at the London Stadium and came in as a second-half replacement after Wednesday’s 2-0 Merseyside derby loss to Everton.
He was about to dive in when Michail Antonio gave West Ham an equalizer, and cameras from TNT Sports captured an intense altercation between the Egyptian and Klopp.
Before Darwin Nunez calmed things down, there was a lot of pointing and swinging of arms.
Although Klopp stated he had spoken with Salah in the dressing room, he declined to discuss the content of the heated argument in his post-match interview with Jules Breach.
When asked to elucidate on the remarks made, Klopp shook his head and stated, “No.”
“But we spoke already in the dressing room, and for me that’s done.”
Salah also refrained from providing specifics, but he did make a devastating statement to journalists in the mixed zone when he declared, “If I speak today there will be fire.”
He said the following when questioned about the “fire”: “Yes of course” as he walked through with a member of Liverpool’s communications department.

Liverpool, who have only won one league game in their previous five games, is clearly not looking good as they have fallen behind Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for the Premier League crown.
The legendary Reds player Jamie Carragher offered his own explanation for Klopp’s annoyance, speculating that Salah wasn’t prepared to take the field.
Taking to X, he wrote: “The only reason a manager would be unhappy in this situation, is the player took too long to be ready to come on.”

Meanwhile, ex Liverpool striker Peter Crouch weighed on on TNT Sports, commenting: “It didn’t look good, I don’t think it looks good for the club. Mo Salah is a player who has started the majority of games for Liverpool and he will be fuming to be on the bench.
“But no-one likes to see this between a manager and a key player.”
