At Wembley, Vinicius Jr. exchanged clothes with a colleague from Jude Bellingham’s England team.

Wonderkid Endrick scored his first goal for his country on Saturday, helping Brazil defeat England 1-0 at Wembley.

With eight minutes left, the 17-year-old, who will cost £62 million when he joins Real Madrid from Palmeiras this summer, scored after Jordan Pickford denied Vinicius a one-on-one opportunity.

It was an odd match, with England—who were missing twelve regular first-team players—facing a team that had just hired a new manager and was experiencing its worst run of form in 22 years.

However, there was some elite quality on display in the match when England’s Bellingham faced Real Madrid teammates Vinicius and Rodrygo.

This season, Bellingham and Vinicius have been Los Blancos’ talismans on the football, and they also seem to get along well off the play.

Additionally, England has made public a video showing the two exchanging shirts and embracing one another in the tunnel following the match.

Notably, Vinicius firmly said, “Rice,” in response to Bellingham’s question of who should receive the winger’s renowned No. 7 Brazil shirt.

Declan Rice has been one of Arsenal’s most reliable players this season, and he carried that form into Saturday’s March international against the five-time world champions, even if it’s unclear if the shirt change had been agreed with beforehand.

In other news, England manager Gareth Southgate acknowledged that, despite the outcome, he was happy with his team’s performance.

He said: “I was pleased. Clearly we don’t like losing football matches but I thought there were a lot of very good individual performances from players who have hardly played for England. More regular players were very good. We had as many attempts on goal as they have and the difference was one moment.

“There were a couple of great quality passes [from Brazil]. You’re talking about players at the very highest level of the game. You’re going to have moments where your keeper has to make a save or defender block. We had those moments at the other end. If it finished a draw it would have been fair.

“We’re playing a top team. Chances are going to be limited. Perhaps we had the chances from set-pieces to capitalise on one of them. I was pleased with the players that went in. We need to find out about them. I thought Ollie did a good job. Didn’t get that clear chance on goal you might want. A lot of his work was very good.”
