Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has been hit with an INR 24 Lakh fine for keeping a delayed over-rate during their IPL 2023 game against the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. It was the establishment’s second such offense of the time. If he repeats the same thing next time, then he will be banned in his next match. He have to be careful.
Because it was their second offence, each member of the playing XI, including the impact substitute, must pay six lakh or 25 percent of the match fee, whichever is lesser.
Kohli was recently fined a ten percent amount of his match charge for penetrating the IPL Set of principles during the IPL 2023 game against the Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

What is this slow over rate?
In IPL, there is a time limit of 90 minutes to bowl 20 overs in an innings. All the teams have to bowl 20 overs in the stipulated time. If the 20th over of the match starts in the 85th minute, then the captain and the team are not penalized for slow over rate. But if a team is not able to start the 20th over within 85 minutes, then it has to pay the penalty of slow over rate.
