Spin wizard, one of the greats and one of the best spinners in cricket’s history, Shane Warne of Australia is no more between us.
He sadly died at 52 on 4th March due to a heart attack and it was a total shock for the cricketing world as he went too soon.
Shane Warne was a legend of the game and to give him a tribute we will see some of his career stats and we will also see what made Warne one of the best in the world.
Warne (1992–2007) bowled a number of great balls in his 15-year international cricket career, but during the Ashes series in 1993, he bowled such a magical ball, which was called ‘Ball of the Century’.
Warne bowled England batsman Mike Gatting in the Old Trafford (Manchester) Test against England on 4 June 1993. The ball was rotated from an angle of about 90 degrees, which surprised everyone. Who was called the ‘best ball of the century’. That ball changed Warne’s life. Warne, this ball remains history even today. The ICC shared a video of Warne’s ball tweeting.

Warne’s cricket career
Warne is the second bowler in the world to get the highest wicket in Test cricket. He took 708 wickets playing 145 Test matches, including 5 or more wickets in 37 innings and 10 or more wickets in 10 matches. At the same time, he took 293 wickets in 194 ODIs.
