- Tests
In the longest format of the game, it was God of the cricket, Sachin Tendulkar who made the most runs for India in a year in test format. Sachin made 1562 runs in the year 2010 which is the highest by any Indian in a year. Sachin had 49 centuries in tests and the year 2010 was his most successful year in terms of runs.
- ODIs
Talking about ODIs which was always India’s most successful format. It is again master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar himself. Tendulkar made 1894 runs in ODIs in the year 1998 which was prime for young Sachin. Sachin was always a very good player in this format. He got 51 centuries in ODIs. His 1894 runs in ODIs are the highest by any Indian player in a year in ODIs.

- T20Is
T20Is came way after ODIs and that’s why Sachin does not have a name in this format. He played very less T20I cricket in his career. It was earlier Virat Kohli who was holding this record but who would have believed that it is now Surya Kumar Yadav who is holding this record of highest run scorer for India in a year in T20Is. SKY has scored 732 runs so far in 2022. Surprisingly 2022 is not over yet and we have a T20 world cup ahead. He can go past the 1000 mark.
